From
the Editor…. One of our favorite lines from one of our favorite comedians, a Canadian known by his stage name, Red Green, widely said, “If you have nothing to say, STOP TALKING!” And that’s one of the reasons Mark and I came to the conclusion it was time to retire our quarterly e-publication The Fan Hitch Journal. There just wasn’t enough content coming our way to justify continuing on as we had for nearly twenty years. But, as promised, when we’re not working on The Benson E. Ginsburg Archives project, or as material becomes available or we think of something that might be of value, we want to make sure our readers are aware of it. And so we welcome you to the first edition of The Fan Hitch Postscript! There’s no telling how frequently this will happen. It all depends on what wanders in, be it through the news media, a Google Alert, word of mouth, an idea we overlooked or something folks may wish to share. We will log in new content to the existing index of articles by subject, but as the “Back Issues by Volume Number” links specifically to The Fan Hitch Journal, a new link has been created to The Fan Hitch Postscript. Note the format change to the home page and The Fan Hitch Postscript’s own new page. That’s about it. As always, your feedback is most welcomed. And as always…. Wishing you smooth ice and narrow leads, Sue and Mark |
